We had a big surprise Friday morning while we were still in the coach. We heard an engine sound, and George called, “Look out the window!” This is what we saw –
a powered paraglider swooping down over the airport.
The pilot made a few passes and left before we got any more photos. Then later as we were setting out on our morning bike ride, the paraglider returned and George got photos of it landing. We talked with the pilot a few minutes and learned that he spent last year in his yacht in the Bahamas. He presently has his yacht moored in Brunswick. The yacht is big enough to have a hoist that lifts the paraglider on board. Here are some more pics:
