The 36th Annual Jekyll Island Bluegrass Festival was a great event this year. While there were fewer big name performers, it was a good line up with a good variety of bluegrass. Daily and Vincent was definitely the most outstanding group with excellent musicians and singers. Little Roy and Lizzie (from Lincolnton, GA) always give a good performance and certainly did this year. The mayor of Ellijay and his sister play in this group. As many of you know, the banjo is George’s favorite instrument even though he doesn’t play it any more. So somehow, we ended up with LOTS of photos of banjo pickers!

The bluegrass festival was a great way to see the New Year in! We’re looking forward to the 37th Jekyll Island Bluegrass Festival which will be Jan 3 – 5, 2013. Signing off for now with one last Jekyll sunset!
